Teach on Your Terms LIVE

Enjoying the Job You're In

Leaving isn't on the cards right now. So let's make the job you have work better for you.

Maybe you can't leave right now. The mortgage, the family, the long service leave that's only a few years away. Or maybe you don't want to. You still care about your students and the work, even on the days it doesn't feel like it.

Either way, the job has started running you. Your week fills up with things that drain you, and the parts you're good at, the parts that made you want to teach, have been pushed to the edges.

That's a heavy way to spend five days a week.

There's more room to move inside your current role than most people realise. Job crafting is a research-backed approach to reshaping the tasks you do, the relationships you have at work and the way you see your work. You don't need a promotion or a new school to start.

Learn how you can reshape:

  • Tasks: what you spend your time on, how much of it, and how you do it
  • Relationships: who gives you energy, who drains it, and where you need firmer limits
  • Purpose: how you see your work and what it adds up to

Small changes in each of these can change how your whole week feels.

This day is for you if:

  • You're overwhelmed and the job has started running you
  • Leaving isn't an option for you right now, by choice or circumstance
  • You're restless, but a new school or a big leap isn't the answer at the moment
  • You've fallen out of love with your job or your school and want to find more joy in your work
  • You want a change you can make next term, not in five years

What we'll cover:

  • Where does my week actually go?
  • What am I good at, and what do I enjoy?
  • What can I change in my tasks?
  • Who's giving me energy, and who's taking it?
  • How do I see my work?
  • What will I try first?

You'll walk away with:

  • A clear picture of where your time and energy go each week
  • Practical scripts for setting limits and saying no
  • One change to try with a plan to make it happen
  • The Teach on Your Terms workbook, so you can keep crafting after the day
  • A room full of educators who are staying and want to make it work
