I get a little annoyed by the self-help gurus and personal growth experts constantly telling us that we need to do something or be something more.

Be more focused, be less anxious, be more time efficient, exercise more, set audacious goals and go after them, declutter, get control of your life, be assertive, be fierce, hustle.

Frankly I am a little tired of being told that women are broken and need fixing. Tired of the implication that we need to be something more in order to be satisfied. Exhausted by the notion of striving and being driven to be better, happier, sexier, wealthier, fitter, kinder, more grateful and more successful – whatever THAT means.

There is nothing inherently wrong with any of those aspirations but “wholesome ends through wholesome means”.

Likewise, there is nothing healthy in denial but there is a lot to be gained from knowing and truly believing the following:

  • Right here, right now, I am OK.
  • I am enough
  • I ain’t broken
  • I’m not drowning …however I may be waving for help
  • Up yours world I am just fine as I am – in my glorious imperfection
  • and a healthy dose of “not fucked”.

We are all perfectly imperfect and that’s a good thing! Right?

I love working with women to help uncover that little jewel of a person who is already inside. I don’t want you to be different, I want you to be happy, I want you to be satisfied, I want you to grab this glorious life by the mane and enjoy the wonderful ride.

What are the millions of good facts that make you who you are?

Right here, right now what makes you awesome?

Let’s celebrate the good bits?

What are the myriad of tiny things you have already accomplished today that deserve recognition? Got up, got dressed, walked the dog, made toast, rang your mum, dropped kids at school, caught the train, read the meeting minutes…. wow look how much you have accomplished already today!! Good on YOU! That must feel good.

Fight the urge to dismiss these moments of accomplishment. Savour the thought of how amazing it is to have already achieved all those things.

Guess what, you didn’t need to be a different person to do them. You just needed to be your already fabulous self, with all the good facts that make up YOU. Cool hey?

Work with us. We know you are full of good facts and resources and we’d love to show you how to find them, celebrate them and (if you’re up for it) grow them.

I am not perfect but parts of me are excellent.
